About Will Batson

WILL BATSON was a four-sport letter-man at Brooks High School in Killen, Alabama, only beginning football his junior year. He earned First Team All-State Honors as a place-kicker his senior season. He received several college offers but chose his hometown school, the University of North Alabama, 3-time NCAA Division II National Champions, because he would have the opportunity to play both football and baseball.

He red-shirted his freshman year in football and pitched for the baseball team, clocking a 92mph fastball. He focused solely on football his redshirt freshman year and earned the starting punting position in his sophomore season.

In 2008 as a junior, Batson earned the first of his All-American accolades; he was a consensus All-American pick as punter in several national polls.  In 2009 in his senior year, he continued earning the honors, both on the field and in the classroom. Again, he earned consensus All-American honors in national polling, while adding prestigious academic/athletic recognition.
